Today we are going to be covering eyeshadow;
Of course there are many ways to apply eyeshadow, but some tips and tricks I’ve learned have helped me for some of the looks I’ve been going for.
To start off, I am going to go over the basics and further down you will be able to see some of the more detailed tips like how to do smokey eye, using bold colors and etc..
#1BLENDING IS SO IMPORTANT.
typically you are going to pick three colors;

^^ (an example of a three color combo with your typical lightest to darkest colors)
step number one: Take the lightest color and apply it all over the eye ( from lashline to browbone)
step number two: take your medium color on the pallet and apply it to just the lid, ( tearduck, no higher than the crease )
step number three: take your darkest color on the palette and apply it to the crease only.
step number four: after all that is done take a fluffy brush ( brush like the picture below ) and lightly go over the eyeshadow to make lines less harsh.

(this is a MAC 224 tapered blending brush, this one i would recomend but than again there are just as good of brushes at any store that sells makeup products)
Smokey Eye
1. Use a medium sized eye shadow brush to apply white/flesh toned eyeshadow from the bottom of your eyelid up to your eyebrow. It shouldn’t be heavy, just enough so that it gives you a clean palette of color to work on.
2. Take a black pencil eyeliner and line the tops of both lids, not too heavy.
3. Using the medium eye shadow brush, apply light grey( or your medium color of choice) eyeshadow over your eyelid only
4. Use a small eyeshadow brush to apply black eyeshadow to the outside of your lids and half way across the top of your eyelid. Kind of like an ‘R’ shape on your left eye and a back to front ‘R’ shape on your left
5. Apply eyeliner underneath your eyes, lightly for daytime and heavier for night wear
6. Apply black mascara to the top and bottom

Vibrant eyeshadows
Pick colors that flatter your eyes & skin color Blue shadows make blue eyes pop, while lilac & purples are nice on brown eyes & black-skinned & olive-skinned people. If you have pink skin (as opposed to a yellow base), avoid pinky-purples.
Use 2 shadows, a light & a dark Pick a soft color for the entire eye area up to the browbone & then use the darker color only up to your eye’s crease.
Keep the rest of your makeup light Nude lips with gloss suits these strong eyes perfectly. Avoid colors on lips, they’ll not only compete with your strong eyes, but the colors could clash. //
